Excellent, thorough, and safety conscious tree removal. This company stood out from the other estimates we got – they were the only one who told us they would call Miss Dig ( utility locating) before starting work, which showed they actually took safety and site prep seriously rather than just rushing to the job. They were competitively priced and able to do the job quickly. They sent out a certified arborist to evaluate the trees beforehand, which gave us confidence the removal plan was sound and not just a quick cut and haul. The crew was professional, efficient, and left the yard clean afterward. Highly recommend if you want a company that does things the right way, not just the fast way.

I got my third tree cut down by them last week. And I must say they’re very professional, and do some great work. I respect Cris because he has all the right equipment to do any job and make it more efficient and easier for his guys. I once got ten quotes and he was the second cheapest only off by 50 dollars. So I know he is more than reasonable, and more than capable. Save yourself the time, and choose Tree solutions LLC.

We’ve been putting off substantial tree work for years. Finally this year we decided to get it done. Did a bunch of research talk to the guys that knock on your door cause they doing work in the area, talk to Detroit Edison people, seeing if they do a side job, etc. None of them had the Crane, and the equipment to tackle our hundred foot tall trees In our fenced yard. I called Tree Solutions LLC because Cris is a certified/degreed arborist, fully licensed and insured, and they do a ton of work for cities in Macomb County, and they do the tree work for Sun and Fun Pools, who has installed multiple pools for our neighbors. (Sometimes trees have to make way for pools) Project start delayed one day due to weather, just had a bunch of big storms roll through. But I knew days in advance, because Cris called me personally and told me how long the delay would be and why. In the end they took down two big trees, one Maple w/a carpenter ant infestation and a Boxelder, pruned/trimmed five large established trees, including our hundred foot tall, three trunk Cottonwood. They got it all done in two days. Two days! Even found some poison ivy on her property and referred us to the guy that took care of that. All in all, for a project that was overdue by at least five years, we are very happy with the outcome. It was an investment in our property, but absolutely worth every penny. Add: just received a thank you card and gift from Tree Solutions LLC. This company is such a class act.

Wow! Cris And his team were absolutely amazing. They are very professional and thoughtfully moved items in my yard that might get damaged before they began. They did a wonderful job removing a very large silver maple tree in a very tight spot in my yard. The yard was completely cleaned up afterwards and they used boards to prevent their equipment from damaging large portions of the grass. I would definitely recommend this company for a tree removal.

Why You Shouldn’t DIY Hazardous Tree Removal

Frequently Asked Questions

How to determine if a tree is hazardous?

A tree is hazardous when it possesses a structural defect and is within striking distance of a “target” such as a person, home, or vehicle. You determine this by checking for dead branches, deep cracks in the trunk, and fungal growth at the base which indicates internal rot.

Removal is necessary when more than 50% of the tree is damaged or diseased because it rarely recovers its structural integrity beyond that point. You should also remove it if the main trunk is hollowed out by more than one-third or if its roots are causing foundation damage.

A hazardous tree is defined by the combination of a physical flaw and a potential target. A rotten tree in the middle of a remote forest is not a hazard, but a rotten tree next to a public sidewalk is a high-priority risk.

A dead tree eventually loses its structural strength and will fall during high winds or heavy rain. Beyond the physical risk, it becomes a major attractant for wood-boring pests like termites and carpenter ants which may eventually migrate to your home.

Worry when you see a sudden change in the tree’s lean or if you notice large cavities forming in the main stem. If the leaves on only one side of the tree turn brown or fall off prematurely it often indicates a serious root or vascular problem.

A hollow tree often has visible cavities or “bleeding” sap from the trunk and may sound empty when struck with a mallet. Rot is often signaled by the presence of mushrooms at the base or bark that peels away easily to reveal soft damp wood underneath.

You should consider removal if the tree has large dead branches in the upper canopy that cannot be safely pruned or if it has “included bark” where two stems grow into each other. If the tree is a non-native invasive species that is also leaning it is often better to replace it.
